Ducks make cuts, Kings' Parse bothered by sore toe | The Fabulous Forum | Los Angeles Times

Parse_250The Ducks made an assortment of roster moves that leaves them at 30 players in camp -- 18 forwards, 10 defensemen and two goaltenders.

 CentersTrevor SmithandMacGregor Sharp, goalieTimo Pielmeierand defensemanJake Newtonwere assigned to Syracuse of the American Hockey League. GoalieIgor Bobkovwas returned to his junior team, London of the Ontario Hockey League, and left wingStephane Veilleuxwas released.

Players had Sunday off but are scheduled to return to the ice at the Honda Center on Monday.

The Kings practiced Sunday with little news emerging except forScott Parsemissing the second session, apparently because of a sore foot. He was hit by a teammate’s shot on Wednesday.

The Kings are due back on the ice at 10 a.m. Monday at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo. Their next round of cuts is likely to come after their exhibition game against the Ducks on Tuesday at Staples Center.
