A charge of fourth-degree sexual abuse against former Kings assistant coach Mark Hardy was dismissed Tuesday in District of Columbia Superior Court.
The case was dismissed for want of prosecution, according to the court's website and friends of Hardy.
Hardy was charged in May following an incident involving a family member in a Washington, D.C., hotel. The charge was reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor before being dismissed altogether on Tuesday.
Hardy, who went through an alcohol treatment program, lives in the South Bay. He resigned from the Kings' staff in June.
