Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd has been indefinitely suspended from the college football program.

According to WNDU, an NBC news affiliate in South Bend, Ind., Floyd was stopped and charged with drunk driving over the weekend. This is his third alcohol-related incident in the last two years, they said. He has two previous underage drinking citations from his home in Minnesota.

The St. Joseph County prosecutor's office said Floyd ran a stop sign at Notre Dame Avenue and Holy Cross Drive just before 3 a.m. Sunday. Seeing Floyd, Notre Dame Security Police pulled him over at Angela and Notre Dame Avenue just outside the entrance to campus.

His blood alcohol level was measured at 0.19, which is double the legal limit, authorities said.
